Introduction to our Group

We are volunteer based and membership driven. We do not employ. All services are from our volunteers.

Our Board Members allow open meetings to all members and to the public. The public may attend all meetings. Members will be included in all newsletters and most business updates.

We collectively conduct research on genealogy, history of the local area, mapping, title research, family history through wills and grants, along with local cemetery registry. We archive photos, family names, local history of events and more. We actively accept donations of books, bibles, photographs, memorabilia pertaining to the Ninety Six area and the Ninety Six District. Items may be mailed to PO Box 97, Ninety Six, SC 29666. Requests for research may be emailed. Please keep in mind, we are volunteers working on your request, and your request may not be addressed immediately.

Membership is $15 per person, annually. Membership funds assist us with mailings, research, photographs, stamps, website maintenance, preservation, storage and office supplies.

96 Visitors' Center

Our group meets once a month on the fourth Sunday at the 96 Visitor Center at 3:00 pm. We house an office at the 96 Visitor Center, but we are volunteers, please call before arriving or leaving items. The Visitor Center is located at 97 Main Street, Ninety Six, SC 29666 at the corner of Hwy 34/246/248.
